Vice Chair Introduction: Yuriko Akeyama

Image
Hello! My name is Yuriko Akeyama, one of your JCC vice-chairs this year. I'm in my fourth year at UC Berkeley, studying Political Science and Economics. I have been helping host conferences with BMUN since my freshman year, but this is my first time in a crisis committee so I am super excited to learn with you all. Outside of BMUN, I'm currently planning my summer after graduation, working to save money to travel, and volunteering with a service organization on campus. In my free time, I love plugging in some EDM and wandering around new neighborhoods, reading, sewing, and dancing. Can't wait to see you all in March! -- Yuriko

Hi Delegates! Nice to meet all of you :) My name is Karissa (she/her) and I will be one of your vice chairs for JCC this year!  A bit about myself — I am a senior at UC Berkeley studying Public Health, and intend on pursuing a law degree after my undergraduate studies. This is my 6th year doing MUN and 3rd year chairing at BMUN, so I’m excited to be back! Outside of classes, I do research on mergers and acquisitions in the healthcare market. I also enjoy traveling and trying new foods in my free time. I look forward to meeting all of you at conference! - Karissa

Though I still have a lot to learn in my academic journey, I hope to provide any insight on any of these topics if you're interested!  Other than BMUN, I am the Gender and Sexuality Awareness Coordina...
